The Martyr's Monument or the Martyr's Monument was designed by Iraqi sculptor Ismail Fateh al-Turk in memory of those who fought and lost their lives during the Iran-Iraq War.
Founded in 1983, this monumental architectural structure is located in the middle of an artificial lake. Beneath it is a library, museum, and other facilities that you can visit to learn more about the Iraqi soldiers who fought and lost their lives during the historic eight-year war that exhausted both countries.
